What Does Emotional & Behavioral
Our assessments will assist in identifying the different symptoms your child is experiencing which will help in determining if your child meets the criteria for a specific psychological diagnosis. This in turn will lead to the development of specific, detailed treatment recommendations that will help parents and educators to understand how best to support the child’s needs across settings. The assessment will also describe how a child’s strengths can be used to offset any areas where they may struggle. The results of emotional and behavioral testing should help to answer a wide array of questions parents may have about their child, including:
- Why is my child so easily angered or irritated?
- What causes my child’s mood swings and emotional outbursts?
- Why does my child seem to feel very sad and cry frequently?
- How can I help my child increase their tolerance during frustrating situations?
- Can I help my child feel more self-confident and improve their self-esteem?
- Why does my child struggle with concentration or focus?
- What can I do to help curb my child’s impulsive behavior?
- Are there steps to take that can help with hyperactive or excitable behaviors?
- Can I support my child to become more academically successful?
- How can I help my child connect more closely with peers in social settings and make more friends?
- Why does my child frequently complain of pain that doesn’t seem to have a direct physical cause?
- Can I help my child improve their quality and quantity of sleep?
